Christmas Card 2005

Hello!

As you’ve probably figured out by reading this, we are not doing tradional Christmas cards this year. We’re a product of the times, so e-mail it is!

Jeff has managed to keep himself occupied with work, ballooning, and the kids. He just finished his last balloon event for the year and came in second place. We were all very excited for him. He has also just completed a big project at work with the opening of Hope’s new sports arena. And of course Andrew and Allison are keeping him busy at night.

Robyn has been very busy taking care of the kids. As it turns out taking care of the two is much harder than having a “paying job”. She’s been able to break away a little bit though for water aerobics classes and some studio time at the local Arts Council.

Andrew is two now and always has something to say. He loves football and plays with Jeff’s old football guys all the time. He even knows them by name. He has also been busy with his John Deere tractors. Believe it or not, there’s one that he takes to bed with him every night. He and Robyn just finished an art/movement class at the Holland Area Arts Council. He learned different methods of painting and exercise (he dances now!). We hope to sign him up again in January. He starts swimming lessons with Jeff in a couple weeks and is very anxious to get back into the water.

Allison is six months old and rolling everywhere. She is working very hard at trying to crawl but can’t quite hold her body weight up yet. She seems much more determined than Andrew was at that age (she must get that from her dad). She is also very independent - she doesn’t mind laying in bed alone and putting herself to sleep. She loves to talk and growl at Annie (the dog) and anyone who will listen. We are already running into the sharing issues with the two kids. She likes to take Andrew’s pacifier away, which annoys him to no end.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season,

Robyn, Jeff, Andrew, & Allison

Another balloon race...

We all went to the Holiday Balloon Fest balloon race in Battle Creek this weekend. These pictures are from the awards banquet:

Remember Egghead Jr. from the old Foghorn Leghorn cartoons?

We're thinking it might be time to get Andrew a bigger helmet...

Andrew vs. The Door

Andrew got in a fight with a door. Obviously the door lost.

Walk, Part II

More pictures from yesterday's walk to Lake Michigan:

Again, you can just make out Grand Haven's lighthouses in the last picture.

A walk through the woods

Andrew took us on one of his famous hikes today:

That's Lake Michigan that you see. If you look very closely at the last picture, you can just make out the Grand Haven pier and lighthouses in the distance.
